Action for Autism

Sabrina & Stephanie started this fight because although their situations and stories are different their goals remain the same and there are many other families facing the same fight just like us.

• No Suitable School placements for Children with additional needs.
• Not enough SNA’s including for Children in a mainstream setting with additional needs.
• No Therapies Services (630 families on waiting list within CDNT5).
• No supports for Parents, Teachers, or Special Schools like Scoil Chormaic, Scoil Aonghusa & ASD units.
• Huge lack of support for families during school holidays or closures.

Although all the above information is mostly relevant to Tipperary, We all know that this is the case all over our country. We need our Government step up and protect our children with special needs and to start treating them like human beings. Their needs matter, they matter, they are our future and they need to be cared for and protected and unfortunately this Government seem to be lacking in doing all of the above.
