About Us
Providing Support
South Tipperary Autism Support Group was founded in September 2001 in response to the increasing number of children being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and the need for parental support at a very difficult time.
We provide support in the form of monthly meetings for parents or carers, helping them to understand and broaden their knowledge of this condition.
We hold monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month. Our meetings are strictly confidential, if anyone wants to speak privately to a member of the committee please feel free to contact the office and we can arrange a meeting at your own convenience.
If you’re not able to attend a meeting, we provide a one-to-one service in the office or confidentially by telephone.
We also keep our library stocked with a wide range of books covering all aspects of Autism including: Diet treatments, life stories, behavioral management and the importance of sensory experiences. Any of these books can be rented for a small fee.
